Amino Acids | L-glutamic acid 7.0%, Glycine 2.5%, L-methionine <0.5%, L-tryptophan <0.5% |
The amino acids present in VigoRoot are rhizogenic amino acids that have been shown to promote plant root development.
L-glutamic acid:
- Enhances the assimilation of inorganic nitrogen by the plant.
- Precursor of new amino acids and stimulates the development of young leaves.
- Chlorophyll synthesis.
- Improves plant resistance to stress situations:
- Thermal: due to very high or very low temperatures (frost).
- Water: water shortage, excessive evaporation due to high temperatures, waterlogging, etc.
- Phytopathological: due to the application of phytosanitary products.
L-tryptophan:
- Main precursor of Indole-3-acetic acid (IAA).
- Promotes root development with the formation of adventitious roots.
- Precursor of auxins and phytoalexins, plant protection against pests and stress.
L-methionine:
- Stimulates root growth.
- Increases production quantity and quality.
- Precursor of ethylene (triggers the fruit ripening process).
Glycine:
- Amino acid with chelating action.
- Along with L-glutamic acid, its action is necessary for the formation of the chlorophyll ring.
- DNA synthesis.
Trace Elements 6.85%
(Fe 4.5%, Mn 1%, B 0.2%, Zn 0.1%, Mo 0.05%….)
The trace elements provided by VigoRoot are essential for proper plant nutrition. They are chelated by organic acids to enhance their transport. The simultaneous supply of amino acids along with trace elements facilitates the enzymatic catalyst action of the trace elements. By supplying trace elements through the soil, we also help neutralize phytotoxic effects caused by heavy metals present in irrigation water and/or soil.
Biopolysaccharides 8.6%
(Tricarboxylic acids 8%, polysaccharides 0.6%)
For most physiological processes (functional and structural) to occur, energy provided by sugars is required. In the early stages of plant development, its incipient leaves cannot produce enough energy. The contribution, through a root stimulator, of directly assimilable energy helps meet the energy needs required by the plant.
Vitamin Complex 0.15%
(B1, B2, B12, C, D, E, and K)
The vitamins contained in VigoRoot allow treated plants to withstand adverse or stressful situations. They preserve the balance of the soil flora around the root, increasing the concentration of nitrifying bacteria (Azotobacter and Clostridium).
DESCRIPTION
In addition to the nutrients mentioned, VigoRoot contains elements that stimulate the metabolism of the root and aerial part: free amino acids (L-glutamic acid, L-methionine, and glycine). All these molecules, especially methionine, organic acids, and polysaccharides, have a direct effect on the root and its environment (rhizosphere).
BENEFITS
- Stimulates growth (methionine).
- Gives the root greater resistance to low temperatures (glutamic acid).
- Neutralizes phytotoxic effects of heavy metals (2-hydroxy-1,2,3-propanetricarboxylic acid, iron, and zinc).
- Acts by moisturizing and oxygenating root hairs (polysaccharides).
- Activates the growth of nitrogen-fixing bacteria Azotobacter and Clostridium.
- Prevents deficiencies (B, Fe, Mn, Mo, Zn).
The micronutrients in VigoRoot are complexed by amino acids and act on plant physiology and metabolism (synthesis of sugars, proteins, chlorophylls, etc.), especially stimulating root growth.
CHARACTERISTICS
- A very complete product that integrates all the elements necessary to enhance root development in a single formulation.
- Promotes rapid and strong development of the root system and the aerial part, advancing production.
- Reduces the appearance of deficiencies.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Apply preferably during plant or tree stress periods:
- Nutritional stress: at the time of transplant, fruit set, maturation, etc.
- Water stress: after a period of water unavailability.
- Phytopathological stress: when the plant has suffered from phytotoxicity or a significant pest or disease attack. The application of VigoRoot is especially recommended in conjunction with soil fungicide applications.
- Thermal stress: when temperatures drop significantly, or frost occurs, and the plant needs rapid recovery.
By applying VigoRoot, we achieve better root establishment and an increase in root mass.
RECOMMENDED CROPS
Various crops (vegetables, vines, fruit trees, citrus)
Foliar application: 0.3-0.5%.
Root application:
- Flood irrigation: 4-6 l/ha in vegetable crops and 8-12 l/ha in tree crops in each application.
- Drip irrigation: 2-4 l/ha in each application.
- In hydroponic cultivation: 0.5-1 l/ha in each application.
- By spike-injector (tree crops): 50 ml per “injection” (1 to 6 “spikes” per plant, depending on tree size).
WHEN TO APPLY
- Apply in anticipation of periods of climatic stress: cold, heat, drought, frost.
- Apply to stimulate rooting in nurseries.
- Apply at the time of transplant and during vegetative growth of plants.
- Apply to strengthen the plant against deficiencies, diseases, bacteria, and pests.
- Apply when there is root damage caused by nematodes, fungi, or agricultural machinery.
- Apply when root damage has occurred due to improper water management: (water stress or root asphyxiation from excess water).
