DESCRIPTION
PK 40-40 is a highly concentrated fertilizer rich in phosphorus and potassium, with added chelated micronutrients to promote stability and enhance the assimilation of these two essential nutrients. Proper supply of other plant nutrients tends to increase the uptake of phosphorus from the soil. Thanks to the synergy between phosphorus and potassium, their absorption and assimilation are both improved.
Moreover, with appropriate fertilization using a phosphorus- and potassium-rich fertilizer, combined with good crop management, the phosphorus present in the soil can be replenished quickly enough to maintain optimal harvest levels.
Potassium is essential for controlling water absorption as well as the process that allows plants to harness solar energy (photosynthesis). It promotes flowering, fruiting, and overall plant resilience. Deficiency is more likely in light, sandy, or calcareous soils where potassium is easily leached.
To address all of this, a phosphorus- and potassium-rich fertilizer like PK 40-40 can be an indispensable aid.
FEATURES
- Increases fruit set, fruit development, and consequently crop yield.
- Protects the plant under cold or dry conditions by strengthening the root system and preventing wilting.
- Improves the plant’s ability to use and store energy, including the photosynthesis process.
- The high phosphorus and potassium content of PK 40-40 ensures healthy cell division, fruiting, and promotes root growth.
- Helps in the translocation of sugars and starch in the plant and increases protein content.
