Reppel Aves is formulated from biodegradable food-based compounds. Due to its aversive smell and taste, it repels birds and limits the damage they cause.
Mode of action: It irritates the mucous membranes and the trigeminal nerve; therefore, birds must come into contact with the product.
Characteristics
Reppel Aves is a bird repellent product that limits feeding on crops such as:
- Strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, currants, blackberries, cranberries, sarsaparilla, wild strawberries
- Apple, pear, cherry, peach, nectarine, plum, and fig trees
- Table grapes and wine grapes
- Grain cereals such as corn, rice, sorghum, oats, millet
- Ornamental plants, golf courses, parks, silos, fish-free water sources
It also helps control nesting in structures. It is a biodegradable product made from food-grade ingredients.
Application Techniques
- Apply using manual, ground, or aerial sprayers.
- Ground application volume: 150 L/ha.
- Do not apply under high temperatures, low humidity, strong winds, dew, or forecasted rain.
- Best time to apply: at dawn, dusk, or nighttime, when birds are not present on the crop.
- Repellency period: 7 days.
- Single application: 7 days before harvest.
- Two applications: 14 and 7 days before harvest.
Usage Recommendations
For crops such as sunflower, corn, sorghum, grapes, fruit trees, rice, among others:
Dosage: 2 to 3 L/ha.
Use the higher dose when bird pressure is high.
